Leverage The Phone

Let’s face it, every small business owner has a phone but are they really using it to it’s full revenue generating potential?

Probably not.  In fact, when we ran our “Most Overlooked Business Tool” contest, there were LOTS of people who guessed the phone.

So why don’t more people use it to make money?

Here’s my answer:

Taking A Chance On Someone

In a minute I’m going to share how you can win a $497 gift but before I do, I want to share a story…

When I made the decision to go out on my own and start my own business, I did it starting from complete scratch. I had just graduated university, had a student loan and had zero contacts or experience within the industry I was looking to enter.

Sounds promising doesn’t it? :)

With all that said, one of the most frustrating experiences for me was having an enormous desire to learn but not having the money to invest in myself or my business.

I wanted to attend seminars, buy home study courses and receive coaching but the money just wasn’t there.

However, that didn’t mean I didn’t want to.  I would listen in on all the free teleseminars, download all the free reports and sign up to all the free email newsletters.

But I knew at some point that the only real way to get the “good stuff” was to pay for it.

So how do you get paid content for free when you don’t have any money?

I found a way and I want to share it with you :)

Here’s what happened and how you can do the same thing…

Tony Robbins… Here I Come!

Tony Robbins One of my mastermind members asked if I wanted to attend a Tony Robbins event towards the end of July.

I’ve always been a Tony fan and even remember going to the library years ago and signing out his Personal Power tapes (that was quite a long time ago!).

Unfortunately, I never had the chance to see him live.

Until now :)

It just so happens that I know the company in Toronto that is co-producing the event.

I called them up, and purchased my ticket right away.

But that’s when I thought, why not see if anyone else wants to go.

You can download a PDF with all the details right here .

If you’d like to attend the event, it’s happening July 25th-28th in Toronto and you can get tickets by calling:

1-866-994-2555 ext. 244

Just make sure you ask for Miriam and she’ll give you a good deal :)

I think it would be a blast to have a whole bunch of people attend so once you’ve got your tickets, shoot me an email and let me know so we can get together during the event.

Virtual Book Tour System | Sell Books Fast

Virtual Book Tour SystemGreat marketing ideas are the fuel to your marketing success.

That’s why when I see something creative and effective, I take note.

For example, learning to sell books fast is one of the skills every author wants to master. However, the problem is most don’t know how to do it (including some of the best-selling authors you see on the NY Times Best Sellers List).

My good friend Alex Mandossian has been working with some very high profile authors showing them exactly how to sell books by the thousands with very little effort with his Virtual Book Tour System.

With that said, what grabbed my attention the most was observing how Alex has been marketing his course.

Before I share some examples of what I observed, let me say this…

Great Marketing Ideas and Bruised Egos

Stu - Marketing IdeaHave you ever had your ego bruised?

I have and it happened recently.

Let me explain…

It was one of those late night brainstorms when I had an idea with enormous potential.

I couldn’t sit still.

My eyes widened as I immediately started mapping out all the possibilities.

I even registered the domain names and started to get everything set up.

Here’s the problem…

A Massive Collection of Marketing Minds

moty.jpgToday I sat back and smiled (you will in a minute once you find out why).

Before I tell you what happened today, let me set the stage by sharing a related story from 4 years ago.

Picture this…

I had just graduated university.

No money.

No contacts.

But I had a deep hunger to build my own business… even though I didn’t exactly know what that business was going to be (smile).

However, here’s what happened…

Why Market Info Products?

money.jpgThere’s no doubt that creating and marketing information products can be extremely profitable but I was reminded recently of a major secondary benefit.

Interestingly enough, it has nothing to do with making money.

It has nothing to do with building a bigger list.

It also has nothing to do with getting more traffic or increasing conversions.

However, this benefit is so powerful that it naturally turns prospects into customers and customers into life-long evangelists who are eager to buy from you again and again.

The Turnaround Of “Old” Marketing Strategies

Teleseminar SecretsIt’s inevitable in every market…

Situations happen where a major change is needed because ‘old’ strategies are over used…

…or are they? (read on to find out)

Unfortunately this October and November caused anyone serious in the ‘affiliate’ industry a lot of grief (us included).

What use to be fairly easy became a continuous uphill battle that just seemed to get harder and harder everyday that went by during those months.

In case you haven’t guessed it, I’m referring to the barrage of product launches that flooded the marketplace.

Here’s why they caused a lot of damage… Read the rest of this entry »

Lessons From Dan Kennedy’s Info Summitt

BG_DK_infosummit.jpgI bet you’ll be able to relate to this…

However before I get into the rest of this message I want to let you know that I’ve listed my top 3 lessons from my recent trip to Dan Kennedy’s Info Summit (definitely worth the read).

Yesterday I was working away and started thinking to myself, where did October go?

Then I realized that we are almost through November!

The old saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun but I have a slight modification to add.

Time flies when business is booming!

4 marketing seminars in 2 months is a lot (and I have another one coming up which I’ll tell you about in a second).

Here’s the interesting part…

I’m a sucker.

Yup, a sucker.

I mean, even though Read the rest of this entry »
