How Much Are Marketing Ideas Really Worth?

Marketing IdeasBefore I share a dynamite marketing video, I want to tell you about an interesting email I just received from my bookkeeper…

In it she said that I had one major problem…

My net income was WAY too high during the past year!

As I read my accounting statements I had to smile…

Even though it means I’m going to end up paying more taxes I had to stop and reflect on the progress we’ve made over the last year - primarily thanks to the internet.

Marketing your products and services online is one of the most economical and profitable methods for getting your products in the hands of your target audience.

Sometimes I can’t fathom why more businesses haven’t incorporated more online marketing activities into their overall marketing plan.

It’s cheap…

It’s fast…

…AND…

It’s measurable!

That’s why for small business owners, using the internet should be one of the primary methods for marketing and selling products because it’s so darn easy to see exactly what works and where to invest your marketing dollars.
Then it hit me…

With there being so many marketing ideas you could use, it’s not uncommon for people to get swamped which inevitably prevents them from taking any kind of action.

(It’s a challenge many of us know all too well!)

I remember when I started, this was definitely a problem. I had so many ideas that each time I started working on one, another 3 would pop in my head.

Then I’d get so excited about the 3 new ideas that I would stop working on the original idea I had and inevitably I wouldn’t get anything done.

That brings me to this…

The most important lesson of the day for all entrepreneurs is this:

You Must Learn To Master The Art Of “Idea Management”

Here’s why…

The number of marketing ideas and possibilities are endless and they will only continue to grow - especially thanks to the power of the internet.

In fact, I recently came across a great video of a presentation Jeff Bezos (CEO of Amazon.com) which emphasizes this point. Even though the video was filmed in 2003, it still has relevance today.

Check it out:

The challenge we have as entrepreneurs is we naturally get inundated with new ideas that seem to pop in our heads every day.

I bet you’re smiling just reading that because you’ve probably already had another idea today!

However, the idea itself does not hold any value until it’s put into action. Therefore, the secret to maximizing your success as an entrepreneur is to learn how to take your ideas from concept to cash as quickly as possible.

If you can learn to manage your ideas and only take action on the ones that will help you gain the most momentum in the shortest period of time, then I think you’ll be well on your way to building the kind of business you dreamed of.

It’s not easy but that’s why it’s so exciting…

Once you master this success principle you’ll be years ahead of your competition because there’s a good chance that their Idea Overload is slowing them down as well.

Focus on taking your ideas from concept to cash as quickly as possible and your competition will be eating your dust!
