How To Get High Quality Salesletter Graphics… Cheap!
Who does your website graphics?
Well there’s actually 3 answers to that.
For my business, I broke my graphic requirements into 3 different categories:
- Headers, Footers and Product Shots
- Graphics for Physical Products
- Salesletter Graphics
Each group are unique which is why I don’t have the same designer do everything. So let’s take a look at who actually does the designing for each group of graphics (I think you’ll be surprised when you get to category 3 - Salesletter Graphics).
*********************************************
1) Headers, Footers and Product Shots
*********************************************
Since headers, footers and product shots are highly customized items, they can take a lot of time… especially if you are not a skilled graphic designer.
That’s why I always hire someone to do them for me.
My go to guy for headers and footers is Sean Lowery from Mini Site Graphics.
He does an awesome job and the thing I like about him most is his quality and speed.
I once told him that it feels like Christmas when I get an email from him because I can’t wait to see what he has created!
Depending on what you want, his prices can vary in the neighborhood of $150-$450 per set.
It’s worth every penny and the main reason I go with Sean is because he saves me a ton of time from trying to do it all myself. Plus his designs are very professional and look fantastic.
However, if you don’t have $150-$450 for every project you’re doing, then you may have to create them yourself. If that’s the case, be sure to see what I do for my salesletter graphics (section 3).

2) Physical Products - CD’s, DVD’s, Books
*********************************************
My other designer that I always turn to (particularly for my physical products) is Heather Kirk. Her website is www.GraphicsByHeather.com.
She has a TON of experience doing layouts for books and home study courses as well as CD and DVD labels/cases.
I’ve worked with Heather ever since I started my online business and she’s really helped me create a professional image with my products.
Her prices vary largly because every project is completely different.
For example, your ebook may only be 20 pages where as mine might be 80 pages. Obviously the design cost with be completely different.
I think her hourly rate is roughly $85/hour and she’s worth every penny.
*********************************************
3) Salesletter and Web Graphics - Buttons, Guarantees etc.
*********************************************
For all the other graphics I use on my website, I actually develop them myself.
However, I do have a secret
I don’t do the majority of the design!
Hugh?
I know what you’re thinking…
“Stu, you just said that you develop your web graphics yourself and now you are saying you don’t do the majority of the design - what the heck are you talking about?”
Let me explain…
It’s inevitable that you’ll use similar graphics on almost all of your websites.
Things like guarantee stickers, buy now buttons, bullets, numbers, price bubbles etc., rarely change from site to site.
The only thing that does change would be the colors or the text.
So what I like to do is have a whole bunch of templates created and then just quickly customize them for each site.
It saves a ton of time but more importantly, it will save you a lot of money.
Instead of getting new graphics created for every one of your websites, you only need to get one set created and then be able to tweak them thereafter depending on how much you want to customize them.
Here’s a look at the template package I use for almost all my sites:
In total there are over 6,749 files included with this package that you can use and reuse over and over again on all of your websites.
The best part is, these graphics look GREAT!
They are top notch graphics and they’ll instantly improve the visual aspect of your site even if you don’t want to customize them.
So if you don’t have the budget to hire someone to do all your website designs, you should take a close look at the Marketing Web Graphics package.
It’s been proven over and over again that a nice set of graphics can improve your sales conversions. So why don’t more people pay attention to this?
Most likely because they can’t afford to hire a designer or they they know how to design their own.
Marketing Web Graphics solves that problem and gives you the best of both worlds
So even though I do hire Sean and Heather for certain graphics, the lionshare of my graphics come from the Marketing Web Graphics package.
