Is BlogRush Working?

BlogRush statsBlogRush has created all kinds of buzz in the marketplace but everyone has been asking…

Is it working?

From what I can see, yes it is and my stats show a quick glance at the activity in my account since it launched.

Here’s what all this means…

Since it launched I have earned a total of 23,759.50 syndication credits. That means my blog posts will be shown 23,759.50 times over the network.

The overwhelming majority of those credits have been earned from all the people I referred to the network. I spoke to one of my mastermind members about this today because he shared a concern when I asked if he had joined BlogRush.

His response was…

“I don’t get a lot of traffic to my blog right now so I wouldn’t earn a lot of syndication credits. Therefore it would be pointless for me to add it”.

This is only half true.

If you don’t get a lot of traffic to your blog, he’s right in that you wouldn’t earn a lot of syndication credits from your own traffic.

However, take a closer look at my stats again…

Blog Rush Credits

Almost all of the syndication credits I’ve earned have come from the referrals of the people I sent combined with the referrals that they made.

Because BlogRush tracks your referrals 10 generations deep, the credits you earn take on a compounding effect.

Just think, if you refer one person who just happens to be getting 5,000 page views a day to their blog, that means you would instantly get 5,000 syndication credits!

Here’s another look which emphasizes the viral nature of this service:

BlogRush Referral Stats

That’s why the sooner you register for this service the better because it will naturally take on a life of it’s own which will help you generate more traffic!

If you haven’t registered yet, then go to the BlogRush site and get yourself an account… remember, it’s free :)

Now let’s take a look at how many people actually clicked through to my actual blog after seeing my post on someone’s BlogRush widget…

BlogRush click statsSo far, I’ve used just over 4,400 credits as you can see in my “syndication activity” report. That produced a total of 11 clicks through to my blog.

Obviously 11 clicks isn’t huge but it’s definitely a start - especially since it’s free traffic and I didn’t have to do anything extra for it.

One thing to note here is the fact that I listed myself in the “Marketing” category which is obviously going to be the most competitive for this type of service. If you market to a smaller niche, you could easily dominate by directing your syndication credits to that niche blog giving you the opportunity to get maximum exposure.

After seeing these stats, I recalled a conversation that I had with John Reese when we initially discussed BlogRush during a private brainstorm about 3 months ago.

BlogRush Report PDFHe said then (which is proving to be true now) that the people who generate the most traffic using BlogRush will make a conscious effort to write compelling blog post titles that grab people’s attention.

I talk about this in further detail inside my BlogRush Report under Tip#6 but you can see evidence of this from the clickthroughs I recieved versus the number of impressions I had.

If you don’t give your blog post titles some serious thought, you could be missing out on a lot of traffic.

Along those same lines, another thing I noticed was the length of the title for each post. My recommendation is make them fairly short because it fits a lot nicer in the BlogRush widget.

The flip side to this would be to write blog post titles that are incomplete when viewed in the BlogRush widget. It leaves a sense of “incompleteness” for the reader which creates a natural curiosity to see what it is.

The last point I want to share is yet another tip from my initial BlogRush Report - Create A Consistent Flow Of Content.

By adding regular posts to your blog, you ensure that BlogRush has new headlines to deliver for you. If you don’t, then your old headlines/blog post titles will start to get old for the people who see them and your clickthroughs will drop even more.

In conclusion, BlogRush will only get better and better and for those of us who’ve already embraced it and installed it on our blogs, your traffic will only grow from this point forward.

If you haven’t registered your free account then what are you waiting for?
