Selecting A WordPress Domain

I’m putting the final touches on a site dedicated to all things WordPress.  It will contain news, ideas and updates for WordPress themes, plugins and hacks.

The problem is, I’m struggling to determine what the final URL will be.

Will you help?

First off Stu, I would like to say that the Affiliate Incubator was a life changer for me. All the knowledge and understanding I received was priceless. You have a follower for life. Yourself and Russ are AWESOME! And that’s an understatement. That being said I think EverythingWordpress would be a perfect fit. Once again, for me that was the best seminar EVER.

Peace&Love

HI Stu, thanks for all your inspiration. Great stuff always.
The first two names are good - but they are still kinda generic in feel - and the second one lacks a sense of crispness and focus.
‘Everything’ means all things to everyone - so it lacks punch.
I would suggest ideas such as WordpressRocket, wordpressformarketers, wordpressengine (just ideas in general). Give focus and tangible benefits. The best solution will have other compelling keyword(s) to combine with ‘Wordpress’ to maximize your love from Google.
Names with hard consonants are better - more mnemonic power.
I look forward to exploring the blog you create. I love using Wordpress.

@James - your comment inspired me to dig a little deeper. What do you think about “WordPressIdeas.com”?

Hey Stu:
Great to meet you and spend some time getting to know each other at Affiliate Incubator in Dallas last week. I am very excited about MGL and look forward to working together.
I picked “everythingwordpress” because I like to go with first impressions, especially when it comes to picking URLs. As you know I own a jillion of them and many times that is how I pick. It always comes down to good keyword research, but the X factor is the gut feel.

Hope that helps.

@Dave - it was great seeing you at the Affiliate Incubator this past weekend as well. I’m definitely looking forward to working with you.

Quick question - what do you think about WordpressIdeas.com?

Better or worse than EverythingWordpress.com?

Stu

Hi Stu

I wrote at length yesterday but it hasn’t appeared yet. Now I can back I cannot see how to vote, there’s no place to click this time.

Anyway…. more briefly this time….. it’s impossible to answer without knowing what the site is going to be. I don’t like ‘Best Of’ unless that’s what it’s going to be ie just some kind of review of the top 10 most popular etc. The last two (Gossip and Chatter) sound like they’d be republishing clips and snippets by others, from other places. If this is so, they’d be OK but not a thrilling site!

That leave ‘Everything’ which is OK … so long as it IS everything. But that’s doubtful. You say “It will contain news, ideas and updates for WordPress themes, plugins and hacks” so you need something that suggests taking Wordpress to new heights, to another level, to make it your own…..

Ideas like ‘PowerUpWordpress’ or ‘WordpressWonders’ or ‘WordpressWizardry’ or ……there are many ways to go with this.

That’s all for now … good luck

Hi Stu, I like everythingwordpress.com.

It was great meeting you at Affiliate Incubator this past weekend too. Do you happen to have the name of that script you were talking about for creating customized affiliate pages? There were a couple of times where I wanted to ask you again but you seemed pretty busy with everything and then I had to take off on Saturday.

Thanks for a great event and I hope to make it back next year :)

@Angela - it was great seeing you as well :)

There are a number of scripts that will help you sell multiple Clickbank products from one account but here are a couple:

EasyClickMate
JV Plus

Easy Click Mate is probably the better selection for what you want because JV Plus requires a little technical ability to manipulate the code. Either way, they are both good products.
