What Keeps You From Creating Info Products?
After reading a couple posts on CopyBlogger this morning I was inspired to create this post.
This question is straight forward and right to the point…
What’s Stopping You From Creating
Your First Info Product?
Creating an information product can easily be one of the most profitable activities for any online business and yet so many have not bothered to create one.
Did I mention that the profit margins are enormous?
Knowing that, what’s holding you back from getting yours completed?

re: your question about summertime slump
my summer is hot. i have a timer that rings every 5 minutes as i work. i work according to the 7 point plan of bill bartmann which includes making daily promises which i email to other people who hold me accountable. and my wife is relentless and unreasonable. and i have a business coach with whom i meet every week. of course, i strive to do even better. i cant escape too far.
Hi Stu,
No holding back here!
I’ve created several information products which have given me a fairly steady (and profitable) passive income. I was terrified to the point of not wanting to even start the first project, but once it was finished and I realised the income potential, I’ve never looked back.
I’ve produced several infoproducts this year and have many more projects planned. Creating infoproducts is high on my list of priorities, and I believe they always will be.
Sure, the first one is hard for some people, but the rest are a breeze. (sort of. lol)

Nitsan and Cheryl,
It sounds like you guys are on fire!
That’s fantastic.
I too am trying to work hard to get a couple projects completed before the summer is over but I find it hard sometimes because I want to be outside and enjoy the sun.
I think living in a beach town will do that to you
Anyway great job on your progress - I look forward to hearing about your projects once they are complete.
Take care.

I have just started creating informational products a few months ago … The first one should be ready soon! It is very exciting! I try to put each product into multiple formats - video / audio / workbook / articles / book - this leads to better sales and is very useful for marketing.
I also like to collaborate with friends on informational products - its more fun!
I just started a Tampa Bay Area Professional Speakers Club to work on things like this together and do joint speaking.
You can see some of the articles I have written at:

I found it easiest to begin with turning my in-person training into products to sell. I sell the individual audio CDs online.
I also sell the class as a home study course.
I am trying to keep it simple.
I am now working on a book that I will sell as a multimedia course on CD.
I find that this stuff works if I keep it simple enough that I don’t get overwhelmed.
